We are asking people to share with their EA contacts information on what has happened in EA. Please also share the link to this forum: emotionsanonymous.boards.net/[Below is an example letter you can send out.] Dear EA member, It has recently come to the attention of members of the St. Luke’s EA meeting in Calgary that EA International Trustees have, without the consent of EA members, changed the Yellow Pamphlet, replacing the word “God” and “Him” with the words “Higher Power”. Furthermore the EA International Executive changed the Emotions Anonymous bylaws to allow them the liberty to make these changes without the ratification or input of EA members worldwide. They took away all voting rights of member groups. Many EA members are offended and upset by these changes and some have written to the EA International Board of Trustees and have reached out to EA groups and members too. I am attaching a letter written by Karen Mead, former Executive Director of EA International that addresses her concerns regarding the recent bylaws changes. Karen began working for EA in 1990 and is still involved as editor of the EA Connection and co-moderator of the Loop. A few EA members have started an EA business forum at emotionsanonymous.boards.net/ to build an international, online EA community. This forum gives EA members the opportunity to express their concerns and to support Karen Mead as well as one another. We are hoping to create a community to push back against these changes, but the viewpoints of all EA members are welcome. Links to the forum and to Karen Mead’s letter are included underneath my signature as well. Please feel free to share these links and this email with your meeting, and participate in the forum. Any input your group and its members could provide would be greatly appreciated Yours in recovery, Maya P On behalf of … …St. Luke’s Wednesday EA Group emotionsanonymous.boards.net/emotionsanonymous.boards.net/thread/18/karen-mead-writes-board-bylaws

As I posted somewhere else, I had a good experience w/ EA in this one town but that place does not (that i know of) have a EA anymore, so here I am.
I think it is good to discuss how one is feeling in a given situation. I think this is one of the problems society is so messed up: people don't know ho to talk to one another about how they're feeling and when people do talk about such, often they are not understood.
I would be a Christian even if I hadn't been raised one (though I kind of wonder if I WAS...) because I so appreciate what Jesus said Love your neighbor as yourself. No one does that, but it's a good rule to try to live by. We fail all the time but if everyone just TRIED this world would be a different place.
so anyway... just some thoughts
