Last night we had a full room at our meeting and 1/3 of them were new! 
Another 1/3 were newISH, let's say they've been coming 2 months or less. Of the 3 of us left who are qualified to sponsor, one is an extremely successful businessman whose loyalty we are extremely grateful for. He serves as our literature person but doesn't sponsor folks. Another has been in the program for many years but has their own issues and I observe that folks just don't approach them to sponsor.

I feel like I'm full up with sponsees. 2 of my female sponsees have been with us several months. They're both quite promising but are only approaching their Step 5. I'm REALLY trying to nurture them to become sponsors and believe that once we've made it through the other 8 steps together they'll be great resources for the group.
I came to EA 8 or 9 yrs. ago and LOVE it. I do all I can to nurture our little group as the publicity person. But I have my own extreme life stresses and can't do it all. Last night a young man asked if I'd be his sponsor. I felt a little panicky since this 34 year Al-anon is still prone to overdue in the "Helping Others" arena. I knew that he's been in AA a month-and-a-half and has an AA sponsor so I suggested that maybe he and I could talk every couple of weeks.
